Diatagon Forums - Coastway Video

When was the last time you visited Diatagon? When was the last time you visited Coastway beach? Any true Diatagonian can attest that if you have not felt in love with Coastway one way or another for that matter, you are not a real Diatagonian.

What is so nice about Coastway beach anyway? It does not have white sands and crystal blue water. It is not blessed with great palm trees that offers shades nor it offers great scenery compare to other famous beaches here in the Philippines. Instead, it is rocky and rough that you will risk getting grazed by does sharp edges of rocks every time you step into the water.

I can attest for a fact that physically, our coastway beach does not land even to the top 30 beaches I've ever visited my whole life. Even here in Cebu where I am based, coastway beach can not even beat the worst commercial beach resort in Mactan or even in bohol.

There is only one explanation for me that makes sense why Coastway beach remains special to most diatagonians: Coatway beach is the only beach we have in Diatagon and St. Christine that allows family, friends, lovers, clans or even the whole barangay to get together enjoying fresh air, great food and each others company. We share sinugba, lupak, "Cokes", beer, saging, camote and kinilaw during those memorable week ends. We posed for pictures and reluctant to leave the place even if its almost sunset. Some lovers and barkada chose to spend nights at coastway too.

I can still remember one of my lost childhood picture with my cousins where I was about 4 years old at coastway. It was in a black and white photo where 3 of us stood over a log laying in the beach at low tide. It was not the best picture I've ever seen but it is surely one of the most memorable. I bet most diatagonian have one memorable pose that coastway beach that remind each of us of those "happy days".

I took time out one morning last December 28, 2009 in coastway to catch some glimpse in a video cam. I tried to be as sentimental as possible but me being "less than a week amateur camera man" failed to capture the way I want it to be. Never the less, the footage are here for you to see. Enjoy

dili pud ko kalimot sa coastway, kay diri ko first naka encounter kung unsa ang ang nawong sa airplane..as far as i remember, sa coastway e held and track in field kung naay school compitition.

and i always celebrate my birthday here. . can't swim well lang kay sa cge nako sikad sa akong tiil, maka feel nalang ko nga bato na diay akong nasikaran..

thanks jun those videos serve the purpose na how causeway looks this time. with the sharp stones and not so crystal clear water... wala man gihapon makalupig bisan pa ang boracay kay that's part sa ato tanan taga diatagon. Many of us becomes what we are now dako ang influence sa ato pagkatawo in our younger years ang Diatagon. Come grand summer reunion by end of this month I cant promise gyud nga maka anha ko kay dia pa gyud ko sa Palawan tawon since March 26. I am attending export shipment of one 33k Metric tonts nickel shipment for China. Wala pa sab matapos but two more vessels are scheduled to arrive on the next week so its work work and work. I already have a ticket for my bday celeb with my family in Negros on the 16th sayang na sab. I hope ma delay mga vesel. time will tell na lang.
